Hockey Day in Latvia - September 5

This year, on September 5, the traditional Hockey Day will be held throughout Latvia, organized by the Latvian Hockey Federation in cooperation with hockey schools and clubs. It is a great opportunity for every boy and girl under the age of 12 to step on skates for the first time and get to know hockey.

During the event, children will be provided with all the necessary equipment, while local hockey schools and clubs will provide coaches and first lessons on the ice free of charge. Coaches will help take the first steps in hockey and introduce opportunities to continue lessons in their city.

The goal of Hockey Day is to popularize hockey in Latvia, interest children in an active lifestyle, and give everyone the opportunity to try one of the most popular sports in the country. This day annually brings together hundreds of children and their families in ice rinks throughout Latvia, becoming a real hockey celebration.
