How to become a member
A person whose activities are directly related to hockey and who has obtained the status of candidate member may become a member of the association "Latvian Hockey Federation" (LHF), in accordance with the LHF membership admission rules in accordance with the procedure specified in the LHF Statutes.
Organizations wishing to obtain the status of candidate member of the LHF shall submit to the LHF Board in person or by mail:
A specified sample application form;
A copy of the Organization's Statutes;
A certificate from the Register of Enterprises of the Republic of Latvia regarding the registration and operation of the organization;
A copy of the organization's tax payer registration certificate;
A recommendation from an existing LHF member.
Organizations managed by hockey clubs, schools or teams, additionally:
A list of hockey players working in the organization;
A list of the organization's coaches.
The LHF Board, when considering the organization's application, shall verify compliance with the requirements set forth in the LHF Statutes, and shall make a decision on the admission of the organization to the LHF Congress of Members. After approval as a candidate member, the organization shall pay the LHF membership fee, which is determined annually by the Board.
According to the decisions of the Board of the Latvian Hockey Federation of February 25, 2025, the membership fee in 2025 is set at EUR 700.00 (seven hundred euros and 00 cents).
Upon the expiration of the term of the candidate member status, the Congress, but not earlier than after 10 (ten) months, shall decide on the admission of the candidate member to the LHF. When considering the issue of admission of candidate members, the Board shall consider the report of the LHF Congress on the activities of the candidates in accordance with the LHF Statutes and the implementation of the provisions of the Statutes. The question of approving a candidate for membership shall be decided as the first item on the agenda of the Congress, and shall take up the time of the members and the law enforcement officers in the subsequent vote.
